March 6, 2015 SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego men's rowing team will kick off their racing season on Saturday, as they return to the friendly confines of Mission Bay to compete in the City Championships.
Racing will start at 7:30 a.m. in the SeaWorld Channel. A good spot to watch the action is from the south Ingraham bridge. A set of binoculars will allow you a perfect view of the team in action.
"This first race will be an opportunity for everyone, but it will serve the younger athletes well as they experience their first 2000 meter sprint at the collegiate level," stated head coach Brooks Dagman. "UCSD is looking extremely good right now. I am sure that this will be a real test for each squad!"
Here is the Torero line-up for Saturday.
VARSITY 8: Torrey Ray, John Bacic, Henri Hicks, Nick Watson, Will Bastien, Taylor Terheggen , Alex La Bruno, Brandon de Caussin, Patrick McPolin
