Second place finish at a home race with a time of 6:06.0 Sophomore (2015-2016) Placed second with the Varsity 8 boat in the Head of American invite with a time of 16:23.0...Set a new course record in the San Diego Fall Classic tallying a time of 14:54.0... Third place finish at Newport Regatta invite with a time of 6:19.9... First place finish in San Diego Crew Classic Cal Cup Petite final with a time of 6:34.507 Placed third in the Western Spirits invite with the JV 8 boat posting a time of 6:23.3 Freshmen (2014-2015) Competed with the JV 8 team that won the City Championships kick off race... PERSONAL: Samuel Aaron Stephens was born on April 10, 1996 in San Francisco, Calif....he is the son of Greg and Marcie Stephens...was also recruited by California and UC San Diego...chose to attend USD because of the overall culture, the academic reputation and the men's rowing team...his father, Greg, was a rower at California.
