TOREROS REPORT TO CAMP AUGUST 11TH: The USD Torero football team, under the direction of third-year head coach Dale Lindsey, will report to camp on Tuesday, August 11th. Coach Lindsey and his staff are expecting 110 student-athletes to report with the first practice slated for Wednesday, August 12th, from 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Manchester Field (see complete camp schedule below). Practices are open to the media and interviews are available post-practice. Contact the USD media relations office in advance to coordinate interviews.

TORERO TIDBITS: For the fourth straight year the Toreros were picked to finish first in the PFL Preseason Coaches Poll. USD received seven of a possible 10 first-place votes and 89 of a maximum 100 points. The Toreros were followed by Dayton (87 points), Drake (86), Campbell (71), Butler (59), Stetson (54), Marist (50), Morehead State (40), Valparaiso (37) and Davidson (22). Jacksonville not included in preseason poll due to league penalty. The PFL will feature 11 teams each playing an eight-game schedule to determine the league champion and recipient of the automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA FCS Championship. Last season USD finished 9-3 overall and 7-1 in PFL play and advanced to the NCAA FCS Playoffs for the first time in program history. Four Toreros were named to the 2015 All-PFL Preseason squad - RB Jonah Hodges, OL Pono Keni, TE Ross Dwelley and CB Jamal Agnew. The Toreros return just 13 starters (players with 7 or more starts) from last year's 9-3 team - six on offense, six on defense and one special teams players, and approximately 43 returners (not including 2014 redshirts).

2015 SCHEDULE: The Toreros will kickoff the 2015 season on Saturday, Sept. 5th with a 5:00 p.m. nonconference road game against San Diego State at Qualcomm Stadium. Home dates include Western New Mexico (Sept. 12th, 6pm), Marist (Oct. 3rd, 1pm), Drake (Oct. 17th, 2pm, Homecoming/Family Weekend), Warner (Oct. 24th, 6pm), Campbell (Nov. 7th, 12pm) and Butler (Nov. 21st, 1pm). USD's other four road games are all PFL contests - Valparaiso (Sept. 26th, 10:30 am PT), Dayton (Oct. 10th, 10am PT), Stetson (Oct. 31st, 10am PT) and Davidson (Nov. 14th, 9am PT).

USD FOOTBALL TICKETS and TAILGATE AGAINST SDSU ON SALE: USD fans have a great opportunity to be part of the game and a special Toreros Tailgate prior to with ticketsnow on sale. The Sept. 5 game will also be followed by the legendary KGB Sky Show. The Torero Tailgate is from 2:30 pm to 4:45 pm in section F1 of the Qualcomm parking lot. Game tickets are $20 each. Torero Tailgate tickets are $30 each, $10 for children under 12. Online registration will be open through 11:59 pm on Thursday, September 3. Torero Tailgate tickets will be available at the door for $40 per person.
