Not sure what fun events to attend during USD's homecoming and family weekend? Here's the breakdown of what's to choose from. Each year in October, families fill the University of San Diego campus to celebrate the beginning of another school year and the strong Torero athletics program. Torero athletics put together a fun-filled weekend to celebrate Homecoming with food, sun, and sports. This year, Homecoming and Family Weekend takes place starting on Thursday, October 6, through Sunday, October 9. Laid out below is a schedule of events that USD has to offer to families and alumnus.

Thursday, October 6
• Kicking off Homecoming and Family Weekend, the Torero Men's Basketball Team will host their Sixth Man Night in the Hahn University Center Forum at 6 p.m. This night will feature dinner and an auction as the attendees are introduced to the 2016-2017 men's basketball team. Additionally, they will celebrate the journey of the Torero's history, through the rise to Division I and their first Conference Championship (1984) under Coach Jim Brovelli. Don't miss this blast from the past as the basketball team gears up for their next season. Tickets cost $175 per person. To register CLICK HERE

• The 6th-ranked women's volleyball team will be in action at the Jenny Craig Pavilion with a 7:00 p.m. WCC match against Pacific University.

Friday, October 7
• Join the Torero rowing program in celebrating Homecoming and Family Weekend at the Mission Bay Boathouse. There will be a sleuth of activities to choose from while getting to know the 2016 men and women's rowing teams. For a $225 donation to the rowing program, you can join student athletes in a boat and learn rowing basics beginning at 4:00 pm. Following they will open up their widely acclaimed taco-bar where guests can eat while watching an alumni race and a boat parade. Following the event will be a bonfire social. Tickets to attend, with access to the taco-bar, beer and wine, cost $15. To register CLICK HERE

Saturday, October 8

Come help cheer them on to another victory and No. 25!

Sunday, October 9

The race will kick off at 10 a.m. where contestants will race around a 1K loop in teams of five. Don't have five on your team? No problem!
