Meet the Toreros: Kendall Bird

Kendall Bird is one of three freshmen joining the Toreros for the 2017-18 season. Bird, a 6'2" forward from White River High School in Buckley, Wash., helped lead her team to a 24-4 record (14-0 in conference) and a sixth place finish in the 2A state tournament last season. After scoring 19.5 points per game as a junior, she upped her average to 23.1 ppg as a senior and became her school's all-time leading scorer (1,934 career points), while hauling in 12.1 rebounds per game.

Bird received numerous awards and honors after her standout senior year, including AP 2A Washington State Player of the Year, Washington State Girls Basketball Coaches 2A Player of the Year, 2A South Puget Sound League MVP and the 2A The News Tribune All-Area Player of the Year.
