SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2017-18 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball All-Academic Team. Torero senior Cameron Neubauer (Berlin, Germany) has been selected to the team.
The list is highlighted by two student-athletes making their third and final, all-academic team appearance. Loyola Marymount's Steven Haney and San Francisco's Chase Foster appear on the squad for the third straight year while Gonzaga's Josh Perkins makes his second consecutive appearance. Three underclassmen earned a spot on the all-academic squad this season.
For the fourth straight year, more than half of student-athletes on the first team make their debuts while two are pursuing Master's Degrees. All told 16 student-athletes qualified for all-academic consideration.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
