EUGENE – San Diego women's tennis (2-1) sweep Montana (0-6) in their first match of the weekend, 4-0.
 
Gemma Garcia and Kati Kukaras won the first match of the day at the No. 3 spot. They defeated Alex Walker and Nathalie Joanlanne 6-1. Daniela Morales and Sophia Chow clinched the doubles point with a victory over Lidia Dukic and Lauren Dunlap, 6-4.
 
USD led 1-0 doing intro singles play.
 
Maria-Paula Torres quickly downed Dukic at the No. 5 position (6-0, 6-1) to bring the Toreros to 2-0.
 
Kukaras took her second win of the day with her defeat of Bianca Bostrom. She defeated Bostrom in a two-set match, 6-1, 6-0, at the No. 3 spot.
 
#62 Solymar Colling wins her third straight singles match at the No. 1 spot, and clinched the win for the Toreros. She defeated Julia Ronney 6-2, 6-2.
 
The Toreros improved to 2-1 as they move on to take the Oregon at 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
