IRVINE, Calif. – Cammy Manes nearly broke her own school record in the 800 meters en route to a second-place finish to highlight San Diego's outing at the UCI Steve Scott Invite.

Manes finished the 800m in 2:13.71 to pace the Toreros in the event. Manes also paced USD in the 1500m, finishing in 4:39.48.

The Toreros registered five heat victories, seven second-place finishes, and one third-place finish.Â

Hannah Rasmussen ran a season-best 2:15.15 in the 800m to win her heat. Sera Parvin followed with a personal-best 2:15.15 and
Jessica Ong finished next in 2:15.96.

Molly Klein turned in the second-fastest time in the 1500m among Toreros with a 4:44.03. She was followed by Rasmussen (4:44.27) and
Cassidy Kuhn (4:45.57).

Madi Coli represented USD in the 5000m and ran a personal-best 19:20.19.

The Toreros will have next week off before they conclude their season on May 11 at the Occidental College Invitational.
