SAN MARCOS, Calif. — The University of San Diego women's track team traveled up the road to Cal State San Marcos on Friday for the Mangrum Invite, delivering a series of personal bests and strong finishes across the distance events.
"It's a great day to be a Torero," said head coach Will Guarino.
Highlighting the day in the 5K, Clare Boneau continued her strong debut-season start with a time of 17:12.93 — a USD freshman record and seventh best mark all-time. It's her second program freshman record she's claimed, also taking the 1500m title in her collegiate debut to open the season in Point Loma on March 14. The Keller, Texas native finished in second place Friday, leading from the start up until the final 500 meters.
