SAN DIEGO – Graduate quarterback
Mason Randall and junior linebacker
David Ambagtsheer have earned Pioneer Football League weekly honors, the league announced Sunday.
Â
Randall was tabbed Offensive Player of the Week, while Ambagtsheer was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
Â
Randall was responsible for four touchdowns and led San Diego to a program-record tying scoring output in a 69-28 PFL victory against Presbyterian. He completed 24-of-29 passes (82.8 completion percentage) for 242 yards (10.1 yards per completion) with three touchdowns to three different receivers. He also ran for a touchdown, converting a 4th-and-1 in the second quarter. Â
Â
Ambagtsheer scooped up a blocked punt and returned it four yards for a touchdown in San Diego's 69-28 victory against Presbyterian. It capped a busy third quarter for the linebacker who also had three tackles and forced a fumble in the frame for San Diego. His punt return and forced fumble came on consecutive Presbyterian third quarter plays.
