Toreros Travel to Idaho for Sunday Match Up

San Diego looks for redemption after a tough loss in WA

IDAHO—The Toreros are traveling to Moscow, ID to play the Vandals on Sunday, November 14 at 1 p.m PT. Coming off a tough loss in Washington, the Toreros are eager for a win.

THE BREAKDOWN
Last night, the Toreros went down to the Washington Huskies in a tough battle 57-51 in Seattle. Erica Martinsen and Jordyn Edwards led the team in scoring with 11 points each. On defense, the Toreros tallied 32 rebounds with Kasey Neubert leading the charge with eight rebounds followed by Kendall Bird with seven. The Toreros tied their second all-time steals record at 22, the last time they accomplished this feat was in December 2012 vs the Air Force.  

The Toreros are 1-1 (0-0 WCC) ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Idaho Vandals (1-0, 0-0 Big Sky Conference). This is the Vandals' second game of the season and third for the Toreros. 
  
ALL-TIME SERIES
San Diego leads the series all time with three wins and one loss. The Toreros and Vandals last faced off in 2019 resulting in a loss with a score of 65-35. 
 
UP NEXT
The Toreros return home to play the Air Force on Wednesday, November 17 at 5 PM at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. San Diego has an all-time record of 4-0 with the last match up in 2019 ending in a win.
