SAN DIEGO - Senior safety Isaac Haney has been named Pioneer Football League (PFL) Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Sunday.

Haney intercepted a pass in the end zone with five seconds remaining to secure San Diego's 10-3 PFL victory against Morehead State, Saturday. With Morehead State on the San Diego 12-yard line, Haney wrestled the ball away from a wide receiver and tapped a foot inbounds to secure the game-saving interception. It was part of a defensive effort that limited the league's No. 3 scoring offense to three points.

San Diego has won six straight games, and will head to Stetson on November 20 after a bye week.
