SAN DIEGO - For the third time this season, August Holmgren has been named West Coast Conference (WCC) Singles Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. 

#5 Holmgren went 1-0 in singles play this week, including a huge win over Pepperdine's #15 Daniel De Jonge at the No. 1 position, 7-5, 6-3. In USD's loss to #15 USC on Wednesday, Holmgren battled with #4 Stefan Dostanic, 6-3, 3-6 before the match went unfinished. Holmgren has now won 15 straight singles matches, including a perfect 6-0 in WCC play.
