SAN DIEGO – Women's basketball redshirt senior
Kiera Oakry has been tabbed to the West Coast Conference's All-Academic Team, as the conference announced on Tuesday.

Oakry was selected to the first team for the first time in her collegiate career. The Toreros also finished with four honorable mention recipients –
Laura Erikstrup,
Kylie Horstmeyer,
Amanda Olinger and
Myah Pace.

A San Diego native, Oakry has had a career season on the court, averaging a career-best 10.7 points per game, as well as 2.9 rebounds per game, 1.7 assists per game and 1.2 steals per game. Oakry has gone into double figures in 16 games this season, including a season-high 18 points in a win over Nevada on Dec. 4.

Oakry is graduating with a degree in leadership studies and holds a 3.75 GPA. Erikstrup (3.69 GPA), Horstmeyer (3.68), Olinger (3.27) and Pace (3.69), were also honored for their efforts, both on the court and in the classroom.

Oakry and the Toreros will open the 2023 WCC Tournament as the No. 3 seed on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., against a to-be-determined opponent at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
