SAN DIEGO – The back-to-back WCC champion San Diego men's soccer program will return to action this fall, as the program has released their 2024 regular season schedule.
Following a pair of home exhibitions against CSUN on Aug. 13 and Arizona Western on Aug. 17, the Toreros will open the season with a highly competitive slate of four straight home games, beginning with a battle against Duke on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. From there, the Toreros will welcome local rival San Diego State on Aug. 26 and three-time reigning ASUN champion Lipscomb on Aug. 29.
September begins with a home rematch with Washington on Sep. 4, after the Toreros went into Seattle and defeated the No. 6 ranked Huskies last season. Following the match, San Diego will open a three-game road swing, beginning with a Sep. 8 contest at UC San Diego. The Toreros will also travel to UC Irvine on Sep. 13, before an NCAA Tournament rematch with California Baptist on Sep. 16.
The month ends with three consecutive contests at Torero Stadium, as the Toreros welcome future WCC opponent Grand Canyon on Sep. 19. From there, the Toreros will host Cal State Fullerton on Sep. 22, before opening WCC play against Saint Mary's on Sep. 28.
October sees WCC play enter its full swing, as the Toreros travel to Spokane, Wash., to face Gonzaga on Oct. 4. Later that month, San Diego hosts 2023 WCC co-champion Santa Clara on Oct. 17, before welcoming 2023 NCAA College Cup participant Oregon State in their first WCC matchup on Oct. 26. October concludes with an Oct. 30 contest at San Francisco.
November sees three high-level clashes during the postseason chase, as the Toreros travel to Pacific on Nov. 2, before their home finale against perennial power Portland on Nov. 9. The regular season concludes at LMU on Nov. 16.
