Greeting Friends,

Our team just completed the first few weeks of fall practice, and I wanted to reach out with an update to keep you in the loop on Torero Hoops.

Our 14 newcomers are settling into the academic flow of the fall semester as they experience attending the most beautiful college campus in America and the joy of practicing in the country's newest Basketball Performance Center.

These 14 additions to our roster include five international student-athletes hailing from four continents. Basketball has truly become an international game, and USD provides an attractive destination for players from around the world.

Let me highlight two of our international players who arrived at the start of the fall semester:

Vuk Boskovic is a 6'6" Serbian forward that plays with unshakable confidence and a feel for the game well beyond his age. He is an adroit passer and shooter with the overall versatility to contribute significantly at both ends of the court. Vuk lives out the adage, "He makes everyone on the floor better," by his play.

6'10" Piotr Winkowski is a forward-center from Poland and is a true big man who runs like a guard, has good hands and feet, and is a terrific passer. Piotr has a 7'3" wingspan and is adept both facing the basket and operating near the rim.
