Kylie Horstmeyer and Truitt Reilly Earn All-WCC Honorable Mention Selections

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Following another fantastic season in their final year of collegiate eligibility, San Diego women's basketball senior guard Kylie Horstmeyer and senior forward Truitt Reilly were selected as West Coast Conference's women's basketball honorable mentions following their strong 2024-25 campaigns.

This is the second time during Horstmeyer's five year USD career that she's earned an all-conference honorable mention selection as she also was chosen during the 2023-24 season. Reilly, earned the nod in her one and only season competing as a Torero while being a steady force in the San Diego front court.

Horstmeyer started and played in all 29 of the Toreros' regular season contests as she led her team in minutes, points, points per game and field goal percentage. Playing some of her best games during WCC play, Horstmeyer scored over 20 points in four league contests while shooting an efficient 47% from the field.

Leading the way for USD in an impressive sweep over both Pacific and Santa Clara, Horstmeyer earned her first career WCC Player of the Week award after she averaged 23 PPG and six rebounds while shooting 58% from the field. In her team's overtime victory over the Tigers, Horstmeyer knocked down a game-tying three late in regulation as she recorded a then career-high 26 points in Stockton.

Less than a week later, Horstmeyer would set a new career-high as she scored 30 points against Portland in the Chiles Center on an extremely efficient 12-for-16 from the field.

Playing in her final career game at Jenny Craig Pavilion against LMU on her senior night, Horstmeyer scored 14 points and became just the 23rd San Diego women's basketball student-athlete to reach 1,000 career points.

Reilly was tremendous throughout her team's 2024-25 season as she led San Diego with six double-doubles and was third in the WCC in rebounds per game by averaging 7.6 as she was a force on the glass every time she took the court. She was also second on the Toreros with 11.8 PPG and showed tremendous scoring touch all year by averaging a 47% field goal percentage.

Not afraid of scoring the ball at a high volume, Reilly netted a new career-high 25 points for San Diego in Moraga as the Toreros battled hard with Saint Mary's just ahead of the New Year. Helping USD pick up their first home conference victory of the season, Reilly played all 40 minutes against Santa Clara and posted an 18 points, 18 rebounds, three assists and three steal stat line as USD bested the Broncos and picked up an impressive conference sweep.

USD women's basketball now looks ahead to this week's West Coast Conference tournament in Las Vegas as the Toreros will be competing on Thursday, March 7 at 12:00 p.m. from Orleans Arena. San Diego will be taking on Pepperdine in their first round matchup on Thursday afternoon to kick off all the action in this week's single elimination tournament.
