Men's Soccer: Newsletter from Head Coach Brian Quinn

Hello Torero fans!

We've finally made it to our home opener and we're excited to play five straight home matches in the month of September at Torero Stadium. With classes starting this week, campus is buzzing and we can't wait for another tremendous fall in San Diego.

Our team has been busy on the road to begin the 2025 season as we traveled to Durham, North Carolina for a pair of great matches against quality programs in Duke and Furman. Following that trip, we headed up to the Rocky Mountains for a rematch with Denver two years in the making after facing them in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. After going behind by a pair of goals, our team fought back and matched the Pioneers by scoring a season-high three goals to earn a huge road victory.

We also had an incredible thrill in our last match taking on crosstown rival San Diego State and beating them for the third season in a row. Thanks to the Aztecs for making it work to play the match at the phenomenal Snapdragon Stadium to showcase a pair of strong local programs in an amazing venue.

As a program we're so excited for our home opener this Thursday against California Baptist at 7:00 p.m. from Torero Stadium. It'll be a great opportunity for our fans to see the 2025 Toreros for the first time against a quality CBU opponent that enters the match unbeaten. The first 100 fans that attend Thursday's match will receive a free Back-to-Back-to-Back WCC Champions T-shirt as well as an opportunity for autographs at a post match autograph session.

For those who can't attend, every San Diego men's soccer match the rest of the season will be broadcast on ESPN+, and links to tickets and live statistics can be found on the team's website.

We can't thank you enough for the tremendous support for our program, and we can't wait to see you this Thursday!
