HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Mira Costa High School... Coached by Don Morrow... Tabbed a team captain senior year and led team to an 8-4 record... Also competed in shot put on the Track and Field team...Ranked second in Bay League for shot put. PERSONAL: Born September 27, 1994 in Anaheim, CA... Parents are Joe and Patty Markus... Was also recruited by Princeton, Brown, University of Pennsylvania, and Northwestern University... Chose to attend USD because of its proximity to his hometown... Enjoys fishing and reading...
