Torero Tuesday
If you’re a recent grad you probably remember making the calls, and if you’ve been an alum for a while you have probably received one on this campus-wide planned day of giving in mid-October. On Torero Tuesday we humbly ask you to engage in any way you can–donations do not have to be large to make a big impact. Mark your calendars to

ANNUAL ALUMNI EVENTS
Head of the Charles Reception - Boston, MA
Headed to Boston? We encourage alumni to join us at HOCR at our annual reception held on the Friday evening of the regatta. Connect with other alums, mix with the current Toreros and meet the coaching staff. Tickets become available in September. Watch our social media and newsletter for more information.
Torero Turkey Triathlon
Get ready to earn your turkey! alumni are invited to join the team for the annual TTT that takes place on the last practice on campus before Thanksgiving. Compete for time in a 750 yard swim, 2 mile run, and 6k erg. A waiver is required and will be collected during signups in early November.
Pancake Breakfast - San Diego
A great wintertime Torero tradition, our alumni Pancake Breakfast takes place after the conclusion of Winter Training Camp in January. It is a celebration of our two-team program and all our collective alums at the boathouse overlooking Mission Bay. Alums sponsor, organize and facilitate a Saturday morning hot breakfast, along with networking opportunities with the current student athletes. Join us to reconnect with multiple generations of rowing alums and meet the current teams!
C.R.A.S.H. SD Indoor Sprints
Have you been dreaming of pulling just one more 2k in the varsity erg room? Join us for the annual C.R.A.S.H. SD Indoor Sprints in the alumni category as part of a teamwide test day full of fun, team spirit and hype! A great way to get your 2k time in for your Crew Classic boat! A waiver is required and will be collected during signups in January.
Crew Classic - San Diego
The crown jewel of the Torero racing season, the Crew Classic is the unofficial Homecoming event for USD Rowing. Multiple events occur over the last weekend in March offering opportunities for everyone to find community and reconnect.
- Friday: Alumni/-ae 8+ event at the Crew Classic. Get a boat together and relive the thrill of racing on Mission Bay! The Crew Classic offers men’s and women’s alumni 8+ events on Friday afternoon.
- Saturday: Heat racing at the Crew Classic followed by the Crew Classic Friends and Family Reception on campus. alumni, supporters and current team members gather at the UC Forums for a banquet and annual awards. This event is in high demand and sells out every year so it is recommended you secure tickets early when they become available in early February
- Sunday: Finals racing at the Crew Classic and alumni tent with taco truck. USD partners with the Crew Classic to provide the best location for our alumni to enjoy the racing from the beach just before the finish line. Join us for the ever-popular taco truck and the culmination of one of the biggest rowing races of the year.
