Did you know before 1961, the USD nickname was the Pioneers?! Derived from the Spanish word "torero," which signifies a bullfighter, Diego Torero represents the spirit of bravery and determination. Just as a torero faces the bull in the ring with grace and skill, USD student-athletes mirror this resilience in their pursuit of victory and personal growth.
