Our Learning Support Program provides individualized, one-on-one academic support through our Learning Specialist and Learning Assistants. The Learning Specialist evaluates the academic needs of incoming student-athletes using self-reported information and standardized assessments, then builds a personalized academic support plan.
Based on each student’s needs, we recommend individualized services, which may include weekly meetings with the Learning Specialist or a Learning Assistant.
The Learning Specialist works with students to strengthen academic skills, improve learning strategies, and develop the cognitive and executive functioning skills that support long-term academic success. Learning Assistants are graduate students, specially trained to provide individualized academic support and help student-athletes build effective time management, organization, study strategies, and other essential learning skills.
Together, our Learning Support team equips student-athletes with the tools and strategies they need to become confident, independent learners in the classroom and beyond.
