FRESHMAN (2011): Appeared in three games while playing for Fairfield University... made collegiate debut at Old Dominion on March 5, as a pinch hitter ... also appeared as a defensive replacement against Niagara and Quinnipiac. FRESHMAN (2010): Attended the University of Tampa, where he red-shirted. HIGH SCHOOL: Four year varsity letterwinner at Tampa Prep ... helped Terrapins to a 2A District Championship as a senior captain ... member of the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society, and the National Spanish Honor Society. PERSONAL: Gary Esposito was born on Jan. 24, 1991 in Bronx, NY...he is the son of Gary and Sara Esposito...was also recruited by Seton Hall, St. Johns, and Georgetown...chose to attend USD because of the outstanding baseball program and the architecture program...notes he belongs to the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) and the Architecture Society at USD...he has volunteered with David Cone and Tony Ferreira with ProKids Baseball Academy in Tampa, Florida and Watertown, Connecticut for the past five years, helping to instruct young baseball players from ages 6-17.
