JUNIOR (2011): Made 7 game appearances and one game start...recorded 7 at bats and one walk...had a .125 on base percentage...first game start against UC Riverside on March 1, 2011.
COLLEGE: Played two seasons at Cerritos College...he was named second-team All-South Coast Conference both seasons, and was named a Southern Calif. JC All-Star...as a freshman he hit .322 with 56 hits, 10 doubles, two triples, one home run and 26 RBI, while also recording 12 stolen bases...as a sophomore, he hit .283 with 36 hits, six doubles, one triple, one home run and 12 RBI.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball at Wilson High School in Long Beach, Calif....as a junior he was named second-team All-Moore League after hitting .355 with 17 RBI and 13 stolen bases...as a junior, he helped lead his team to a CIF Division I championship, and a Baseball America National Championship...as a senior, he was named first-team All-Moore League, second team All-CIF and named the Moore League Defensive Player of the Year after hitting .375 with 25 RBI and 23 stolen bases...as a senior he helped lead his team reach the CIF championship game at Dodger Stadium.
PERSONAL: Max McEleney was born on August 31, 1990 in Los Angeles, Calif....he is the son of Robin McEleney...was also recruited by Indiana State, UC Santa Barbara, Chicago and UC San Diego...chose to attend USD because of the great location, the high academic standard and the winning baseball tradition...notes that he loves being outdoors and reading in his spare time.
