USD: The 2011 season will be fourth year at USD and third year competing with defensive unit at defensive end... This past season appeared in all 11 games for the Toreros... Chipped in with 7 tackles in a reserve role... Tallied 2 stops twice (Butler & Valparaiso)... In 2009 appeared in two contests with a total of three tackles... A two-time PFL Academic Honor Roll honoree (2010 & 2009)... Redshirt during 2008 campaign. High School: Attended Junipero Serra HS where he earned 2nd Team All-League and All-County honors... Named Most Valuable Offensive Lineman with team going 7-3... Junior year team went 9-3 and won Western Catholic Athletic League title. Personal: Parents are Debbie & Karl Bakhtiari of Burlingame, CA... Chose USD for beautiful campus, fantastic weather, and football program... Older brother, Eric, played 4 years with Toreros and former All-American is currently on Tennessee Titans roster... Enjoys being with family, and outdoor activities - waterskiing, wakeboarding and snowboarding. Major: Business Administration.
