USD: Second year Torero will compete on defense with secondary... Last year appeared in 7 games with starts in final 4 contests... Totaled 21 tackles (16 solo) with game-high 7 tackles twice (at Dayton, Oct. 31; at Morehead State, Nov. 14)... Named to 2009 PFL Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Attended St. Joe for 9th-11th grades and enrolled at Menlo for the 12th grade...Did not play football his senior year due to his move from Mississippi...still earned a coaches award for his work during his senior season...Also lettered in basketball, baseball, and track.

Personal: Born on December 19, 1990 in Greenville, MS...Parents are Don and Marilyn Davis of Greenville, MS...Chose USD because of its great education, strong athletics, and the spectacular location...Also recruited by Yale...Is looking to enter the medical field after graduation from USD, hoping to become an anesthesiologist... NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice is his uncle and Don had the privilege of attending his Hall of Fame induction in early August.
