USD: Second-year Torero will compete with the defensive line unit at tackle... Played in nine games during 2009... Totaled 11 tackles with one sack... Recorded a season-best five tackles vs. Southern Utah (Nov. 21).

High School: Competed at Poway HS where he played for coach Damien Gonzales, a USD alum and former Torero football player... Was selected to the 2009 Alex Spanos High School All-Star team... In 2008 team was undefeated in Palomar League... Earned 2nd team All-Palomar League honors and 2nd team All-North County... Junior year team went undefeated and won CIF championship... A three-time Defensive Lineman of the Year for the Titans... Also lettered in Track & Field.

Personal: Born on June 6, 1991 in Arizona... Parents are Val and Bethany Trainor of Poway, California... Chose USD for great academics & athletics, as well as being close to home... Enjoys playing the drums, and hopes to pursue a job in law enforcement, preferably on a SWAT team.
