2007 USD Most Improved Player Award For Offense

USD:Jason enters his fifth and final year at USD with the offensive line unit... Once again he will start at the right guard position... In 2007 he played a key role in both pass protection and run blocking as the 9-2 Toreros averaged 44.4 points per game and 483.1 yards of offense... In 2006 he saw action in 9 contests as the Torero offense ranked 1st in total offense and scoring... In 2005 he played a key role with the offensive line unit as the Toreros set numerous offensive school records including 485.2 yards of total offense per game and 42.6 points... In 2004 he sat out as a redshirt. High School: Prepped at Leigh High School and earned the Academic/Athletic Award, the Sports Boosters Scholarship and All-League honors his senior year... Named Lineman of the Year his sophomore season... Also lettered in baseball at Leigh. Personal: Born on June 14, 1985 in San Jose, CA... Also recruited by Saint Mary[apos]s, San Jose State, Humboldt and UC Davis... Chose USD for the great athletic and academic programs... Enjoys to surf, hunt and fish in his spare time... His father, Jim, played football at Long Beach State. Major: Marine Biology. Minor: Environmental Studies.
