USD: Returns for second season and first competing for playing time at running back... Was a redshirt in 2012. HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Cathedral Catholic High School for Coach Sean Doyle... Was a part of four CIF Championship teams... In his senior year, rushed for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns and was selected to the Eastern League First Team... Was named to the Union-Tribune[apos]s All Academic Team. PERSONAL: Born March 2, 1994 in Mesa, AZ... Parents are John and Linda Stavola... Chose USD for its faith, academics, and to stay close to home... Was also recruited by Air Force, Navy, San Diego State, and Cal Poly... Hopes to get involved with the church and do volunteer work while at USD... Wants to be a doctor... His uncle played football at Pacific and then professionally in Europe. MAJOR: Undeclared.
