Ryan is entering his 5th overall year on the USD staff, and his 4th straight as the Director of Operations. Ryan is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the program, which include team travel, Torero Basketball summer camps, academics, video and community service.

After graduating from USD with a Political Science degree in 2011, Ryan joined the Torero staff as Video Coordinator for the 2011-2012 season. He spent the 2012-2013 season at Arizona State University under Head Coach Herb Sendek, as the Director of Basketball Technology. The Sun Devils finished the season with a 22-13 record and a trip to the NIT post-season tournament. Sun Devil senior, Carrick Felix, was selected 33rd overall in the 2013 NBA Draft.

He returned to the Torero staff for the 2013-14 season and has been the Director of Operations since. Ryan played for the Toreros under Head Coach Bill Grier from 2007 - 2011. He was part of the 07'-08' team that won the West Coast Conference Tournament and advanced to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament after upsetting the 15th-ranked UConn Huskies in the tourney opener.

A Chicago native, Ryan played high school basketball for Fenwick High School, where he was an All-Catholic League player.
