HIGH SCHOOL: Attend and rowed for University of Chicago Laboratory Schools in Chicago, Illinois...as a senior, he helped his schools varsity 8 boat finish in the top-10 nationally...as a junior, he won the Most Valuable Novice Award for Crew...also lettered in basketball.
PERSONAL: Michele (Mike) Giovanni DeMaio was born on Aug. 26, 1994 in Chicago, IL...he is the son of Mike and Kat Demaio...was also recruited by Saint Joseph[apos]s University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Oklahoma City University...chose to attend USD because of the Business program, and the men[apos]s rowing program.
