High School/Prep: Attended Bishop Gorman High School where he earned four varsity letters for head coach Doug Borgel... As a senior, was named All-Southwest Conference, All-Division, and All-State while leading his team to a Southwest Conference 4A championship... Led the team in scoring (20 goals) and assists (18), while being named team captain and team MVP... Junior year, earned All-League, All-Division, and All-State honors... Helped team win league and zone championships and finish as state runners up... Led the team with 13 goals and 10 assists... As a sophomore, earned All-League and All-Division accolades, scoring eight goals with 10 assists... Team finished as league and zone champions as well as state runners up... In his freshman year, was named All-League Player of the Year, while scoring two goals and adding eight assists... Helped lead his team to league, zone, and state championships... Competed with Las Vegas Premier club team, where his team won four state championships, the Celtic Cup, Nomads championship and was ranked No. 1 in the nation in 2010 according to gotsoccer.com.
Personal: Born June 30, 1992 in Las Vegas, NV... Son of Stephen and Debra Thompson... Chose USD because it has been his dream school since he was a child due to the area, the strong academics, and the consistently-competitive soccer team... His father played soccer at UNLV and his cousin, Heather Thompson, played soccer for Wafford College.
