Prepped at Santa Barbara Senior High School...was a four-year letter winner in basketball...as a senior, she averaged 18.4 ppg, 1.6 assists-per-game, 6.6 rpg and 3.0 steals-per-game...in her senior year, she was named All CIF Division 3AA, first-team All-Channel League, and she helped lead her team to a 25-9 overall record and into the second round of the CIF state tournament...as a junior, she averaged 16.6 ppg, and 5.4 rpg en route to a first-team All-Channel League selection, and she was named Santa Barbara Athlete of the Year for girls basketball...as a sophomore, she averaged 11.5 ppg, 1.6 spg, and 2.0 rpg en route to a first-team All-Channel League selection...she helped lead her team to the CIF Southern Section Quarterfinals as a sophomore...in her freshman season, she averaged 9.2 ppg and 3.7 assists-per-game en route to a second-team All-Channel League selection...as a freshman, she helped lead her team to the CIF Southern Section second round.
Ivette Gil was born on May 11, 1995 in Santa Barbara, Calif....she is the daughter of Joe and Sonjua Gil...was also recruited by Westmont College, Loyola University and New Orleans...chose to attend USD because of the academic reputation, the environment and atmosphere...her cousin, Araceli Gil, played basketball at Richmond.
