FRESHMAN (2003-04): Appeared in 23 games during San Diego[apos]s 29-game season in 03-04... Scored a career-high seven points against St. Mary[apos]s (1/10), a game where she also recorded 2 steals... Grabbed four rebounds against Loyola Marymount (2/14)... Averaged 7.9 minutes per game and 2.3 points per game on the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Liberty High School in Bakersfield, California... Was a three-time team MVP and was honored as the Southwest Yosemite League MVP as a senior... Led Liberty to the league championship title during her final prep season while setting Liberty school records in scoring and rebounding... Netted 18 points per contest as both a junior and senior... As a sophomore and junior, while Liberty competed in the South Sequoia League, Watson helped LHS claim back-to-back league crowns... Received a number of national awards which included Adidas All-American, Nike All-American and Street & Smith honorable mention All-American honors as a prep athlete... Coached by Rob Sausedo at Liberty High School.
OFF THE COURT: Daughter of Ray and Brooke Watson... Born on July 19, 1985 in Bakersfield, California... Was also recruited by Cal Berkeley, Pacific and Pepperdine... Chose USD because of the coaching staff, friendly players and outstanding academics.
