SOPHOMORE (2015): Played in two matches as a defender and midfielder for the Toreros...helped USD post a shutout against Pepperdine (10/31/15)...helped the team post a goals-against-average of 1.15. FRESHMAN (2014): Played in four matches...helped lead USD back into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011... helped the Torero defense bolster eight shutouts, and a goals-against-average of 1.33. HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Prepped at Hawaii Preparatory Academy...lettered in soccer, cross country and water polo...as a senior, was named her team's MVP, was an All-State tournament team selection...helped lead her team to four consecutive BIIF championships...her team was a state finalist in her final two seasons...played club soccer for the Lehi Soccer Club and the Lanakila Soccer Club...scored the game-winning goal in the Beaverton Adidas Cup championship match of 2012...she helped lead her team to a few Hawaii State championships and her team participated in a Far West Regionals. PERSONAL: Emily Violet Evans was born on October 7, 1995 in Kealakekua, Hawaii...she is the daughter of Kimberly and Woody Evans...chose to attend USD because of the academic reputation, the amazing soccer program and because of the location...her mother, Kimberly, ran cross country at Menlo College.
