Dec. 2, 2014 All PFL Teams 2014 
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Sixteen USD football players have been named to the 22nd version of the All-Pioneer Football League squads. All selections were made by the league's coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes. The PFL champion Toreros led the way with six first-team honorees, and also had a league-high 11 student-athletes named to both the first and second teams. In addition to the 58 student-athletes recognized on the league's first and second teams an additional 74 student-athletes, including five Toreros, received honorable mention recognition.
USD players earning First Team All-PFL honors were senior wide receiver Brandon White (San Jose, Calif.), sophomore running back Jonah Hodges (Santa Cruz, Calif.), junior offensive tackle Pono Keni (Kailua, Hawaii), senior linebacker Una Hamala (Inglewood, Calif.), senior safety Matt Miller (Santa Maria, Calif.) and junior kicker David Last (Valley Center, Calif.).
Named Second Team All-PFL were senior wide receiver Reggie Bell (Union City, Calif.), freshman tight end Ross Dwelley (El Dorado, Calif.), junior fullback Chris Campano (San Diego, Calif.), senior linebacker Troy McClelland (San Diego, Calif.), and sophomore cornerback Jamal Agnew (San Diego, Calif.).
Honorable Mention honors went to sophomore punter Ryan Belden (Diamond Bar, Calif.), sophomore defensive lineman Jamal Newman (Oceanside, Calif.), junior offensive guard Jeff Starr (Norwalk, Conn.), freshman defensive end Jonathan Petersen (Poway, Calif.) and senior cornerback Toney Sawyer (Los Angeles, Calif.).
It was announced on Monday that USD head coach Dale Lindsey was selected the PFL Coach of the Year after he directed the Toreros to the PFL Championship and first ever entry into the NCAA Division I FCS Playoffs. USD finished 9-3 overall.
The Academic All-PFL team, highlighted by the league's first Scholar-Athlete of the Year, will be released Wednesday, concluding the league's awards week.
