The University of San Diego men's basketball program, under the direction of 10th year head coach Brad Holland, begin their second week of practice in preparation for two upcoming Exhibitions at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The Toreros first contest will be on Sunday, November 2nd at 2:30 p.m. against the L.A. Stars, a team made up of former college players. USD's second exhibition will come on Friday, November 7th against the Cal Poly Broncos. Both games are free to the public.
The Toreros, who have lost four starters and 75% of their scoring from last year's 18-12 club that won the WCC Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the program's first time in sixteen years, will use these two exhibitions in preparation for their Nov. 15th opener against Oakland University at the Dell BCA Classic (Nov. 15-17) hosted by Xavier University.
Once again the Toreros will be taking on a very challenging schedule this season with just four nonconference home games scheduled. Following the Dell BCA Classic USD will travel to Creighton (Nov. 22) before returning to the JCP for games against SMU (Nov. 28) and San Diego State (Dec. 3).
