After turning in a 23-point, 8-rebound performance against Nevada on Saturday in San Diego, USD senior Marta Menuez was honored as the West Coast Conference Player of the Week. Menuez, a 6-foot-1 center from Bodega, California, shot 9-of-13 from the floor, leading the Toreros to a convincing 96-74 victory in its home opener. Menuez, an All-West Coast Conference player from a year ago, has proven to be one of the league's most dominant low-post players. As a junior in 2002-03, Menuez's rebounding and scoring numbers were both among the league's best.
