(Tallahassee, FL) - The 41st-ranked USD men's tennis team opened their 2004 season by knocking off the 32nd-ranked Florida State Seminoles, 5-2. The host Seminoles won the doubles point, but USD won four of the six singles matches for the victory. USD received wins from Jason Pongsrikul at No. 2, Nic Beuque at No. 3, Mirza Koristovic at No. 5 and freshman Jeff Das and No. 6. USD will now play at No. 16 Tulane on Saturday.
