According to the latest ITA Collegiate rankings the USD men's tennis team is ranked 27th in the nation! With road wins over 16th ranked Tulane and 32nd ranked Florida State University the Toreros are off to a 2-0 start. The team has a challenging schedule in which it faces 15 teams in the top 75 in the nation this season. Senior Jason Pongsrikul won 3 out of 4 of his matches on the road swing. Winning both of his matches at #2 singles and also winning #1 doubles at Tulane! Pongsrikul is currently ranked 75 in the nation in singles. The San Diego native and team captain is poised to have his best season ever!

Jeff Das and Nic Beuque are off to 2-0 starts also Robbie Blair is 1-0 since his match at Florida State was unfinished! Mirza Koristovic was the hero at Floirda State winning the clinching match 7-6 in the third set!

The Toreros open up their home schedule with the WCC Challenge beginning Friday February 6 @ 1:30pm against San Francisco. On Sunday February 8th they host the LMU Lions at 1pm
