Senior guard Brad Lechtenberg (Walnut Creek, CA) currently leads the nation in 3-point accuracy among those Division I players that meet the NCAA requirements of at least 2.5 made three-pointers per game. Lechtenberg, who closed out his career with 20 points against Santa Clara in the first round of the WCC Tourney on 6-of-12 three-point shooting, converted 51.1% of his shots (71-139) beyond the arc this season. He finished the season averaging 10.6 points per game.
Some of his better three-point shooting efforts this season included San Diego State (5-8 shooting; 15 points), at Northern Arizona (6-12; 22 points), at Southwest Missouri State (5-8; 15 points), at Gonzaga (4-5; 14 points), at Portland (7-9; 23 points) and vs. Santa Clara in the WCC Tourney. Brad's two-year totals for three-point shooting is .475 (95x200).
