At the recently completed 2004 WCC Mens' Tennis Championships, where the No. 2 seed Toreros placed second overall, sophomore Pierrick Ysern (Paris, France) was named a First Team All-WCC Singles Player. It marks the second straight year he has received this distinction. Ysern is currently ranked 58th, and along with the team, is awaiting word from the NCAA whether he will compete in the upcoming NCAA Individual Championships.
Additional honors went to junior Robbie Blair (Stellenbosch, South Africa) - Honorable Mention All-WCC Singles, and to senior Jason Pongsrikul (San Diego, CA) and junior Nic Beuque (Gex, France) as an Honorable Mention All-WCC Doubles Team.
The Toreros, with a national ranking of 40th and team record of 13-7, will now await word from the NCAA for an at-large team invitation into the 64-team tournament.
