Game 1: No. 19 Washington 4, San Diego 1
San Diego starter Sean Warlop pitched well spanning five complete innings, but was the pitcher of record for a USD team that dropped the first game of a scheduled doubleheader with 19th-ranked Washington by a score of 4-1 Monday afternoon at Olsen Field. Washington generated two runs in the second inning and added two more on a homerun by All-America candidate Brent Lillibridge in the sixth. San Diego's offense totaled just three hits.

Warlop (0-1), who was making his second start of the season, struck out four and scattered four hits before being relieved by lefty Nicholas Cranmer after facing one batter in the sixth. Cranmer then allowed the two-run homer to Lillibridge. San Diego failed to rally in their half of the seventh, giving a Huskie team that beat Texas A&M 1-0 Sunday night its second straight victory.

The USD Toreros shutout its fourth opponent in five games at the Aggie Baseball Classic, defeating No. 19 Washington 3-0 in the second game of a Monday afternoon doubleheader at Olsen Field.
