USD drops meet against Northern Arizona

Flagstaff, Ariz. - The University of San Diego women's swimming and diving team fell this past weekend to conference opponent Northern Arizona University in a head-to-head dual meet in Flagstaff, Arizona by a score of 185-108.

For USD, Kristen Yoon picked up a first place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:09.59, and a first place finish in the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:27.88.

Joy Miller picked up three second place finishes starting with the 200 butterfly finishing in a time of 2:28.27. She finished the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:07.47 and then the 200 individual medley for 2:33.99.

In the 400 freestyle relay, San Diego's "A" squad (Yoon, Kristina Levesque, Sarah Gleason, and Meghan Peter) took second place, just five seconds off the first place NAU team finishing in 4:06.47.

The Toreros return home to San Diego where they will prepare for cross-town rival San Diego State University on February 3 at noon from the USD swim complex.
