(San Diego, CA) - The USD Toreros, with two players out due to injury, played hard but could not overcome the USF Dons in today's final round action of the USD Invitational, falling by the score of 6-1. USD's lone point came from Alexandra Demidova at No. 4 singles as she dealt Jenny Sperry a 6-2, 7-6 loss. Demidova also teamed with Justine Perl at No. 2 doubles where they defeated the USF team of Hickey/Macedo, 8-5. The Toreros had to default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles due to the fact of not having enough healthy players. USD's next match will be on Saturday, March 17th, when they host Yale in a 10:00 am match at the USD West Tennis Courts.
