(San Diego, CA) - First-year head football coach Ron Caragher will get his first look at his Torero football team when they hold the first of fifteen spring practices Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Manchester Athletic Field. USD's spring practice schedule will run until Saturday, April 14th with the team off for spring break from March 31st through April 8th. USD's 2007 squad will be paced by five players that earned I-AA Mid-Major All-America honors last year - QB Josh Johnson, WR Wes Doyle, offensive guard Gabe DeAnda, offensive center Jordan Paopao, and defensive end Eric Bakhtiari.

Additional key returners include RB JT Rogan, WR Ben Hannula, WR John Matthews, LB Tyler Evans, safety Patrick O'Neill, DB Gabe Derricks, DL Chris Gianelli, LB Ronnie Pentz, DE Jonathan Espe, DE Matt Shearer and Mark Cianciulli, the team's two-time special teams player of the year. USD's first game in 2007 will be at Azusa Pacific on September 1st (7 pm).
