SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego men's tennis team opened with a conference win over Loyola Marymount University, 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon at the USD West Tennis Courts.
USD won the doubles point as No. 44 Thomas Liversage and Chris Coetzee defeated their opponent Johan Berhof and Sam Tadevosian 8-6. LMU did pick up one doubles match victory.
In singles play, Liversage again defeated his opponent Jacek Twaroski in straight sets (6-4, 6-4) while teammate Dean Jackson also recorded the win over Ivan Lopez (6-1, 6-3, 6-3). Charl Wolmarans, Nils Schive, and Tamer Antabi also win their match lifting USD to the victory.
San Diego concludes their home season with the win and will travel to Idaho to face Boise State on Saturday, April 5 followed by a Sunday match against University of Idaho.
