SAN DIEGO, Calif.- The University of San Diego women's tennis team saw their final participants ousted on the third day of play at the USTA/ITA Southwest Region Championships in San Diego, Calif. on Saturday. Play was moved to Aztec Tennis Center on the campus of San Diego State due to poor weather, but the Toreros were unable to pull out a victory in their lone match of the day.
Laura Claus and Anna Depenau were the final USD doubles team alive in the tournament, but were edged by Long Beach State's Jaklin Alawi and Ania Jeczmionka (9-7) in the first round of the doubles consolation bracket.
The Torero women return to the courts Nov. 5th- 7th when they participate in the USD Invitational to be played at San Diego State University.
