MORAGA, Calif.- The University of San Diego women's tennis team earned its sixth victory in its last seven matches by sweeping San Francisco 7-0 at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex on the campus of Saint Mary's College Saturday afternoon. The 26th-ranked Toreros (7-3, 1-1 WCC) breezed through doubles play winning all three matches and continued the momentum by sweeping singles play as well. San Francisco drops to 2-9 (0-3 WCC) on the year with the loss.
Junior Maja Sujica earned the clinching victory for the Toreros by defeating Alana McMahon 6-2, 6-4 at No. 6. Sujica improved to 5-0 in dual singles play on the season with the win.
USD will face No. 48 Saint Mary's in Moraga, Calif. on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
