LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's tennis team fell to No. 2 USC, 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at Marks Stadium. The Toreros (1-6) were able to capture one doubles match and one singles match on the day, but it was not enough against the Trojans (10-1).

Anna Depenau and Maja Sujica edged Zoe Scandalis and Alison Ramos in doubles with an 8-7 win at No. 2, while Depenau claimed the lone Torero singles victory when No. 26 Sabrina Santamaria retired in the second set.

The Toreros' lineup was mixed up a bit due to the absence of regular-No. 2 Laura Claus. Sophomore Idil Haciraifoglu played in just her second dual match of the season, losing to Valeria Pulido, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6.

The Toreros return to action against Nevada at home on Friday, Mar. 9th at 10:30 am.
